This course is a chronological study of the life and ministry of Jesus as recorded in the four gospels, beginning with Jesus’ birth and childhood and continuing through his death and resurrection. It examines the opening events in his ministry, his travels from Nazareth focusing on the three teaching tours with his disciples, and finally delves into the training of the twelve and Jesus’ covenantal teachings as he nears Jerusalem.

- That the student appreciates the preparation that Father God engaged in to build the social, cultural, and linguistic context for Jesus’ life: his works, teaching, death and resurrection.
- That the student begins to comprehend the filial relationship of Father-Son, and by extension, the complexity of the person whom we acknowledge as Father-Son-Spirit.
- That the student grasps the forty-two months of Jesus’ work in manageable sections and is able to explain them to others.
- That the student receives the set of attitudes by which Jesus related to his Father.
- That the student increasingly experiences the sound of the Father’s Word; the Word that calls, forgives, cleanses, commissions, and releases into his harvest.
